ANYWAY..............
Here's a video of a different lady singing On My Own. Because seriously, this lady is proer. Lea Salonga. From the Phillipines. The first Asian ever to play Eponine (the girl from Les Miserables). Personally, I think Eponine should be standing alone when she sings this song, and the sets should make her look like she's really truly alone. Which is what I saw in London when I watch Les Mis there this year x) But this is an older version of the musical. Not necessarily in London.
The beginning is actually a part of the song. I get the feeling that they do this kind of thing for a lot of musical songs. Like Defying Gravity. In Glee, they just sing the song itself, but the original (in the musical, Wicked) has got this part at the start.
