today's band went well, didn't it (except for some parts *cough cough*)? ^^ we can really see a "definite improvement" (quote frm mr. goh himself haha xD). and the piece ON MY OWN sounded really really AWESHUM! :DDDD
so, mr. goh told us to listen to the song and hear the lyrics. so HERE i got this frm youtube for u guys! :D
the beginning few lines are just extra parts of the song, but listen to it anyways :)
the band playing isn't really obvious but it's there (it gets obvious at the end)! it's just that it's softer so the voice won't be drowned out :P it sounds a teeny weeny bit different from what we are playing but i THINK we can do a better job than that xD
the lyrics are so sad DD: the whole musical is so sad DD: i read the SHORTENED version of the story and i cried. lol over-emotional ._.
anyways, i hope that in future band sessions, EVERYONE of us can try our best to play well and pay attention during band (regardless of whether mr goh is in a bad mood or not:P)
pls pls pls:
-listen to his instructions and try to play ur instru to the best of ur instrus. and DON'T slack during indiv! (us clarinets got told off by our directs for slacking ._.)
-DON'T play ur instru or talk when mr goh is talking. i know it's going to be hard (esp when he's working on other instrus:P) but it's really annoying when there's somebody playing/talking while the conductor is trying to tell us smth. don't play when he don't tell us to!
