Hey BANDEMONIUMS!
As you all know (I assume), SYF is coming very very soon! (That rhymes! :))
And once again you should know, the standard of our playing is rather low.
I don't know about you, but I think a rhyme doesn't really fit.
So I shall here, stop what I commenced, and hence cease to use rhyme (it).
Did you all listen to the recordings that were sent out through email? The quality is, well, not that good. (and that's an understatement) It's not just about the wrong notes, rhythm, squeaks, etc.; after all we ARE a BAND and what's important is we play whatever we play together. It's something like all our hearts are beating as one (rhythmically and as a figure of speech (I know it's rather cliched but oh well)) and we are all feeling what the composer wants us to feel; we are joining the thoughts of the composer and converting a word document to not just a song or a recording, but a piece of music, a piece of music we play as one.
We need to feel the music; need to find our own ways to interpret the music but harder still, find our own ways as a BAND to interpret the music; so that at the end of every music there is a message put across; a feeling felt by the listener, a meaning to the composition. And of course to make others feel so, we must do so ourselves and then export to the audience. We must make the BANDwidth GREATER!!! ( bandwidth = The amount of data that can be passed along a communications channel in a given period of time. BANDwidth = The illumination of meaning that is passed through music) :D
I think that's all for now.
Haha I came up with a set of lyrics for Singapore Flyer (the whole thing); but it's a bit lame. Haha. I'm a bit amused I spent time doing this.
The Singapore flyer
It gets up, and higher and higher
The Singapore flyer
It gets up, and higher and higher,
The Singapore flyer,
It gets up, and higher and higher to the top!
And you see all you can see till you DROP
The sky, a vast blue sea,
A picture of tranquility
And the trees, seem to be so many,
So peaceful and green
It’s only when you’re so high,
You can finally see and find
All this beauty, lost in time...
In your...
Endless rush (to)
GET THINGS DONE!
Hurry up! (you!)
RUN RUN RUN!
Rushing everywhere
Don’t know why they run
If we could fly like birds,
Would we have more time?
But the truth remains,
We seem to be in an endless race
Chasing, and chasing
blindly, we’re in an
Endless rush to
GET THINGS DONE
Hurry up!
RUN!
I don’t care if you’ve eaten lunch
Just don’t have any fun
This is what you’ll see
When you look down, from the sky
At such height you can finally see
what you missed below
(in your) Endless rush (to)
GET THINGS DONE!
Hurry up!
RUN RUN RUN!
(Don’t know why they run)
For once, you get the chance,
Listen to the silence at last
And you feel so suddenly
Suddenly happy and free
Clouds dot the blue blue sky
From up high they seem to wink at I
The birds fly so ever free,
Oh why, oh why can’t I?
Here there seems to be magic,
How I see everything
But no one can see me...
The Singapore flyer
It gets up, and higher and higher
The Singapore flyer
It gets up, and higher and higher,
The Singapore flyer,
It gets up, and higher and higher to the top!
And you see all you can see till you DROP
High up
High up there
Up there
You will then see
City alive with buzz
Against the sunny sky
Who thought a little dot can seem so big from up high
You are big yet you are small
You are short yet you are tall
You’re turning, and spinning, it seems
Like it’s meant to be
We go round and round,
Don’t know when to stop
Rushing in endless circles,
We never seem to drop
Even when the sky seems so far
Even when you fall down low
We work so hard, day and night,
Do we know what we are working for?
Round and round in circles,
We rush and never stop
Up here you look just once
And you never want to drop
Go up, up, over here
On the Singapore flyer!
Fly!

So we finally got to meet the sec onesssss! BUT THEY'RE SO TAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. Like all are about sharvani/ENGYIN height. Which is, needless to say, just far enough for us to look UP to them. -.- Which is creepy. And they look like they are older than us. And like one quarter of their batch has prior experience. So creeeeeeeeepy. Haha. That's all. I really don't know what to say. HAS EVERYONE GOTTEN THEIR COURT SHOES. I hope so. I think so. I'm sure so. WEELLLL our batch has what. 18 people now? I'll edit the names after doing this unblogpostlike blogpost???!!! I'm like. super. super. blur nowadays. gah. Kay. that was a bit random. hmmmmmmm. Anyways, about what some members of the direct batch said today, joining band is not only a responsibility or a commitment. It is OUR responsibility AND our commitment I suppose. While (as they said) it is not discouraged for us to pursue our interests in other areas, since band is not just a CCA and is in fact a very important commitment, the facts are that time is limited and scheduling of the CCAs cannot fit everybody. This is why we have to make choices; if everything were so clear-cut, they wouldn't be called choices. And since it was and still is our choice to make band our commitment, I suppose we shouldn't not follow the expected of full attendance unless with valid reasons. ARGH I'm so sleepy I need to sleep now. But one more thing. SYF IS COMING. And as I'm sure all of you know and should know, we have lots of areas for improvement. Like. Imagine a rectangle below. so it's like
improvement improvement improvement improvement
improvement improvement improvement improvement
improvement improvement improvement improvement
improvement improvement improvement improvement
improvement improvement improvement improvement
improvement improvement improvement improvement
improvement improvement improvement improvement
So as you can see, we have lots of SPACE(S) FOR IMPROVEMENT. And we must replace the word "improvement" with. with uhh.... a good thing. like. excellence! or something. kay. when I'm sleepy I get lame.
ALL THE BEST FOR OUR BATCH AND RGSSB FOR SYF IN LESS THAN FIFTY DAYS!!!
