i'm pleasantly surprised to see that you guys have recently become more active on this blog and in the facebook group. just want to say YOU GUYS MEAN A LOT TO ME AND I LOVE YOU ALL! blogger refuses to let me insert a heart emoticon ): 2 more weeks to syf! we will pull through together, yeah? (;

AFTER A YEAR OF IN-ACTIVITY (this is strange. how come inactivity = in-activity hmm.)
WE HAVE DECIDED TO
GO FOR BATCH BONDING SESSION IN THE MORNING!
THIS IS EXTREMELY STRANGE. (maybe not. I just feel strange.)
WHY YOU SHOULD COME:
1. can sleep on the comfy mat (kay maybe not.)
2. can have speedier access to the parade square and hall on Fridays
3. can consult people in other classes how to do your class's worksheets if your class is slow
4. can whine together
5. can laugh together
6. can cry together
7. can talk together
8. can shout at each other! (shld it be one another.)
9. can stone at each other (stone at means throwing stones)
10. can stone each other (stone means stoning)
11. can sleep elsewhere other than the comfy mat
12. can play your instru (is that right? it's open is it? I forgot.)
13. HAVE FUN!
And thus concludes 13 reasons to be with Batch 13 (in the morning)

I really have nothing to write actually because I'm not the type to type (HAHAHA) motivational stuff so hmm.
I HAVEN'T GOTTEN MY BAND UNI!! Cos I went for OM on Thursday *guilty face* I feel very sad ): I don't like missing band pracs. I think I've grown attached to band. :D That's good right! RIGHT!! And in the meantime I shall propogandise for OM Nationals as well! Please go and support us (aka me+Clara) and laugh at our superlame jokes so that the judges will think they're farney and laugh!! Yay!!
I won't be missing any more band pracs so that's awesome~
YAY BATCH OUTING!! Can we have a chalet!! :D Okay cross that idea. Mmm, our class might be going for laserquest alr..sigh can we just pass around a piece of paper and everyone mark out dates we definitely can't make it then it's easier to plan the DATE and TIME. We can go East Coast or West Coast! Or Sentosa which is actually fine if we don't go Universal Studios or any other attractions. $3. Not that bad I guess...haha Devni's bdae at Universal Studios was farnn~

hello!~
woah first time posting :O okay now i feel bad.
ANYWAY i know that recently the band hours are longgg and tiringggg but syf is coming really really really soon so just put in your best and go all out for these few days! :D so that we won't regret it and all that other deep stuff that our seniors told us (: jiayou bandemonium ^^
oh yes, one more thing! let's revive the discussion about the batch hoodie. are we gonna do it in sec 3 since some people may be joining then? and and and how about a batch outing in the june hols? I know its 3 months away but these outings seem to take forever to coordinate so its good to start early. any idea/suggestions which place is fun? (hmm actually now it's easier to coordinate, considering we only have 17 people in our batch D:)

Dear Bandemoniums,
It has come to my attention (by whisper of the bird who flew by) that the Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging 2011 for Raffles Girls' School Symphonic Band is scheduled for 8th March 2011. Which is exactly 4 weeks. 28 days. 672 hours. 40320 minutes. 2419200 seconds.
It would be a lie to say that the outcome is unimportant. (Of what good is a clock with all it's mechanisms working but its needles superglued to a spot? I believe that is not the best analogy. Oh well.) But it is the truth that the process is more important than the outcome in most cases, such as this one. While doing your best is not always enough, there must have been something created for us to do that would make something enough: the answer is "doing better than your best". Is that sense-making? Or should I say making sense? It's all the same anyway. Almost.
My main message is that we should all have learnt our notes, learnt our rhythm; now it's time to feel the notes and rhythm and play the music. We are not competing with other bands; we are being judged individually without comparison to other bands (not counting the natural human tendency to do so). So we play our best; and get the best we can.

One more thing:
Think about what we are doing this for. Don't work so hard, day and night, without knowing what you are working for. That would be so sad. Like Boxer in Animal Farm. Or like many other people in our society. Perhaps ourselves? I'm sure if you get even a vague idea of your pushing factor, you will be clearly motivated.
